Ever wondered why some customers to your webstore go to checkout page but never paid?
Unable To Pay Through Webstore Payment Processor
This is a common issue with the payment processor you choose. If you use Paypal to handle all your payments, chances you would have met customers who don’t feel comfortable using Paypal, don’t know how to pay with credit card, Paypal’s credit card payment option is not available to customer, country is not accepted by Paypal and other region specific problems.
The easiest solution to this is to offer more than 1 payment method. Alternatives include: Braintree(another Paypal company), 2CO, Skrill, Alipay, Stripe and other payment processors common in your country.
Where Is My Wallet?
I’m sure some of us have experienced this at least once in their lifetime. You were about to pay for something you want but you don’t have your walllet or don’t have enough money. Unfortunately, this mean they could move on to something else the next time they decide to buy something similar.
Because customer details are already captured in your ecommerce system during checkoutt(eventhough they haven’t paid), you have a chance to recover these abandoned shopping carts. Drop them an email to remind them or use a plugin that automates this. You can also offer a discount in your email.
Offer discounts that customer can’t resist. Let customer know special discounts when they buy multiple products.
